Are you a customer of ours affected by a "Phishing" scam?

We have recently been victim to identity theft and phishing scams. "Phishing" is a term used to describe scams that try to get personal information from you. The source of the request is usually not the entity it appears to come from. It could come from an email, virus, program on your computer, or link or website that is fake.

Some of our customers since around January and February have recently received or noticed fraudulent emails or Internet scams that appear to be from us or a similiar email domain.
We want you to be aware of these scams and what they look like, so that you can recognize, avoid, and report them.

How can you tell? What do they look like?

Please click the links below for specific details about each scam. Each one has the title of the scam.

Generally, they contain a link and request you update your profile or ask for personal info or passwords. They may even ask for payment for goods or services.

Please forward the email you receive to us for verification.
Also, let us know if anyone contacts you for more information or comments about us.
They would be considered suspicious. Refrain from providing any information. Do not respond.

What have we done about it?

We have reported this identity theft to law enforcement and consumer protection agencies to investigate these scams and prosecute the criminals who are responsible.

What do I do if I receive or have received an email that looks similiar or appears like it is from us and / or asks for personal information and/or passwords or money?

DO NOT RESPOND OR PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION REQUESTED BY A QUESTIONABLE EMAIL OR WEBSITE.

Do not reply to the email.
Do not open any attachment the email may contain.
Do not click any link the email may contain.
Forward the email to us immediately. The sooner we receive it the better the chances we have of trailing the culprit.

How can I protect myself from email and Internet scams?

There are several things that you can look for that help to reveal if a suspicious email or website is a scam:

Be suspicious of emails that contain an urgent request for personal financial information such as usernames, passwords, Account numbers, social security numbers, etc. We will NEVER ask you for sensitive account information.

Often, the phony email or website will contain misspelled words and other obvious mistakes in wording, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.

Phony emails are typically NOT personalized with your name, while most real emails from us are. Though some may be personalized.

Many of these scams will ask you to update your records in order to keep your Account from being suspended or closed, or because of so called "changes in a privacy policy or other policy."

These phony emails or websites may try to fool you by looking official, but if you notice any of these or other suspicious indicators, please notify us immediately at our phone number and email address. Here are some additional tips that will help to ensure your online security:

Protect your passwords and Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) by keeping them confidential. Do not store them on the computer you normally use to surf the internet.

Keep your web browser software up-to-date with the latest versions and security updates.

If you have a high speed Internet connection (i.e. Cable Modem, DSL) it is helpful to install personal firewall software to ensure that hackers cannot get access to any sensitive information stored on your computer. We suggest Zone Alarm Pro and / or Ad-Aware Pro at www.lavasoft.com

All computer users should install anti-virus software that can be automatically updated with information on the newest harmful viruses. Check out www.Symantec.com for Norton Anti-Virus

Do not open or download email attachments if you have any doubts about the sender or the nature of the attachment. Many viruses are distributed this way and if opened, could damage your computer or access your sensitive information.
